Training update: London Marathon 2024

“It’s less than 4 months until the gun goes off for London Marathon…

Despite two setbacks in form of a minor foot injury and a nasty spell of flu, I am now running 4 times a week, gently building my endurance back up. I haven’t been running for 6 months due to injury when I decided to take on this challenge and I knew it would be a long road to London.

Especially after the setbacks when I just started my training, I started to really worry if I could do this. But knowing I am doing it for FADT gave and still gives me the motivation to plough on. I am feeling much more confident now I am back to a running routine and telling myself to trust the process…

I introduced our rehomed dog Nigel to running with me and we had so much fun, I think he will also make sure I give it my all.

When I said yes to run London for FADT I said I wanted to learn as much as possible about the charity and I was hoping to get involved, so I am really looking forward to joining the team and to visit a group session soon.

I got another boost when the first donations came in but I am hoping to raise a lot more money for FADT. Every pound will help to fund more group sessions and supporting people on their way to recovery! I know this year has been super challenging and it is so very close to Christmas, but if you can spare a few pounds that would help so much!
