I’ve been attending Fallen Angels Movement sessions for around about 6 weeks now. The workshops are amazing, and they have helped me massively in my recovery. I feel so much better both physically and mentally.
I really enjoy it, and I look forward to coming every week. We do so much throughout the sessions. Sometimes the recovery meetings that I attend can get a bit samey, whereas Fallen Angels workshops are never the same.
We all have a real creative input here, and recently we even got to contribute to putting together an amazing Rave Event, put on by the team at the University of Salford! I’m still buzzing from it, and everybody was so welcoming and kind. When you’ve got the prospects of collaborating with dance students, you’re a bit out-classed – but we were made to feel so comfortable, and they just wanted to dance. I wanted to impress the dancers and show my skills.
Seeing others in front of you smiling makes you feel so enthusiastic, and you feel inspired to mirror that energy. It’s such a good brain exercise. I encourage everybody to come, because if it’s doing this for me (I’m an old man!), the younger participants will get loads out of it. To see the laughter and the joy of everybody else is amazing.
