Holding Light Comes to Liverpool Everyman This October
Following acclaimed performances at the Royal Ballet and Opera and Storyhouse, Fallen Angels Dance Theatre brings its powerful new production Holding Light to Liverpool Everyman on 17 October.
Created by an award-winning company renowned for transforming lived experience into extraordinary performance, Holding Light is a moving and visually striking evening of dance that shines a light on stories of addiction, recovery, resilience and hope.
Building on the success of Traces Through Time, this latest work has been developed over six months in collaboration with internationally celebrated choreographer Russell Maliphant, dance artist Alice Godfrey, and sound artist & composer Feri Gyemant. Together, they have crafted an immersive production that blends powerful movement, evocative soundscapes and compelling physical storytelling.
At the heart of Holding Light are the voices and experiences of people in addiction and mental health recovery. Through Fallen Angels’ unique co-creation process, performers draw on their own journeys to create work that is honest, courageous and deeply human.
The result is an unforgettable production that challenges perceptions, breaks down stigma and celebrates the strength that can emerge from adversity. Poignant, uplifting and profoundly moving, Holding Light invites audiences to connect with stories that are rarely seen on stage and discover the transformative power of creativity and community.
Don’t miss this remarkable performance as it makes its Liverpool Everyman debut on 17 October.
