At Fallen Angels Dance Theatre, we are deeply grateful for the people who choose to walk alongside us, championing our work and the communities we serve. Among those individuals, our Patron Robert Fox held a special place.
As we reflect on Robert’s contribution, one thing stands out above all else: his humanity.
Those who knew him speak of his warmth, generosity, and the ease with which he connected with people. He often brought a sense of humour to conversations and the ability to make others feel comfortable and valued. Robert really understood the importance and seriousness of the issues at the heart of Fallen Angels’ work. He approached people with openness, kindness, and genuine curiosity.
Reflecting on Robert’s legacy, Artistic Director Paul Bayes Kitcher said:
“Robert brought warmth, humour and kindness whenever we met, and he genuinely loved hearing about people’s lives and supporting the things he believed in. You always felt better for having spent time with him.”
Robert believed in the power of the arts to change lives. His support of Fallen Angels was rooted in a belief that creativity can offer hope, connection, and transformation. He understood that recovery is not simply a destination but a journey, and he recognised the courage and talent of the artists who bring their lived experiences to our stage.
As our Patron, Robert was more than a figurehead. He took pleasure in being part of the organisation’s story and was generous with his time and encouragement. His support helped strengthen our mission, reminding us of how much our work matters and that the stories we share help transform lives and inspire others.
Reflecting on Robert’s life and legacy has reminded us how important it is to celebrate those who stand beside us, helping to create opportunities for others to thrive.
We will always remember Robert with great affection and gratitude. His kindness, humour and unwavering support will not be forgotten.
On behalf of everyone at Fallen Angels Dance Theatre, we thank him for his friendship, his belief in our mission and the light he brought to our community.
Robert Fox will always remain in the heart of Fallen Angels.
