From Recovery to Centre Stage: Dance for Impact
Author: admin
Date: March 3rd 2026
Across the North-West, Fallen Angels Dance Theatre is transforming lives through the power of movement. Working with people in recovery from addiction and those living with mental health conditions, we create spaces where lives are reclaimed, confidence is rebuilt, and creativity thrives.
Now, we’re stepping into our biggest chapter yet — a new co-created production for 2026, shaped by the voices and lived experiences of our community. And with your help, we’re ready to bring their stories to some of the UK’s most iconic cultural stages!
Why This Campaign Matters
Addiction and mental ill health often thrive in silence. In many communities across the North-West, access to the arts can be limited — yet artistic expression can be profoundly transformative. People in recovery are frequently isolated, stigmatised, or overlooked, and their creative potential goes unseen.
At Fallen Angels, we know that creativity can be a bridge — from isolation to connection, and from recovery to renewed purpose. Through our weekly workshops in Cheshire and Merseyside, individuals rebuild confidence and develop skills in dance theatre. For some, this journey leads to accredited training, professional pathways, and the life-changing experience of performing onstage.
Our 2026 production is the next step in that journey…..
About the Art for Impact Campaign
We’re thrilled to be part of the Art for Impact match-funding campaign, delivered in partnership with New Philanthropy for Arts & Culture (NPAC). For seven days in March, every donation made to Fallen Angels through the Big Give will be doubled — meaning your generosity goes twice as far.
What is the Big Give?
The Big Give brings together large donors, philanthropists, foundations, businesses, and the wider public. Their match-funding approach multiplies the impact of every pound donated — ensuring charities like ours can reach further, faster, and with greater confidence.
Fallen Angels Campaign Aim
To create a powerful, high-quality production that elevates the voices of people in recovery, we need professional production support. Funds raised will enable us to collaborate with lighting designers, sound designers, composers, costumiers, and other specialists who will help us shape a world-class show.
This investment also ensures we can bring our performers — eight artists in recovery — to major venues, including Storyhouse and the Royal Opera House.
