Chains of Connectivity
This summer, Fallen Angels embarked on a powerful new project, Chains of Connectivity, a collaboration with acclaimed International Choreographer Russell Maliphant.
For two intensive days at Theatre Porto, seven of our committed Recovery Artists worked closely with Russell, exploring new ways of understanding the body and its potential. This was more than just a dance workshop; it was an opportunity for these artists to dive deeper into their personal journeys of recovery through movement.
One of our participants reflected on the experience: “This is the first time I have thought about anatomy before. The way he describes things has given me a fresh approach and new ways of approaching moving my body.”
Chains of Connectivity is an exploration of the body’s natural language. Our Recovery Artists are now taking the inspiration from this residency into the studio to create a new piece of outdoor dance theatre for the UK Recovery Walk 2025. They want to share a powerful message with the recovery community:
“We hope people will see their bodies differently, and their potential to unlock trauma and tension stored. To find freedom and liberation in recovery.”
Join us on September 13th at 3pm  at the UK Recovery Walk in Wolverhampton to see this inspiring performance. This project was made possible with generous support from The Big Give donors, Martin Geddes Foundation, and Camurus.
Please note:
*Recovery Artists: Our Recovery Artists are individuals who have participated in our Chester and Liverpool HUB groups for at least six months.
