Talks, workshops and training is led by our leadership team with lived experience of recovery and mental health adversity and can involve our enthusiastic and committed Supporting Angels community who are keen to share the transforming abilities of recovery dance.
We offer a range of online and in-person training opportunities to introduce and share our practice.
- Introductory Why recovery and dance? workshops (two hour, half day or full day)
- Practitioner training for dance and performing arts professionals
- Resources and recovery dance toolkit
- Advocacy, CPD training and ‘meet and greet’ outreach sessions for recovery services, mental health and social prescribing link workers
- Advocacy and CPD training for Arts in criminal justice and mental health secure settings,
- Mentoring and work shadowing opportunities
- Lectures and hosting visits by undergraduates and post-graduate students in the fields of applied theatre, public health, addiction studies, community dance
- Guest speaking engagements for conferences, festivals and high profile events
Our CPD offer is flexible and can be tailored for specific audiences. We have experience of working in professional and community dance contexts, in a breadth of settings from schools and youth dance through to community provision, secure units and prisons. Fallen Angels often presents and performs at events and conferences including TEDx Liverpool. We are experienced at delivering online sessions to UK and international audiences.
